How do the papers get away with giving out 18 certificate films?

Do news vendors have to put them on the top shelf? :)

We sent out 9 year old to get a paper the other week and she came back saying that they wouldn't sell it to her. My OH couldn't think why but I was right - there was a free film in it and she was below the certificate age! Well spotted by the newsagent I say!
  • the newspaper distributer sends a letter to each newsagent advising them that there will be a dvd which is 18 16 rated etc. it reminds them to tell staff not to sell them to minors

Free HORRIBLE HISTORIES audio books on CD inside next weekend's TELEGRAPHS

Saturday Telegraph - Oct 14th - The RUTHLESS ROMANS read by Terry Deary

Sunday Telegraph - Oct 15th - The AWFUL EGYPTIANS read by Terry Deary

Hi- this also goes on through the week with a Horrible History book at WH smiths each day for two weeks and another two audio books ' Frightful 1st world War' and 'Frightful 2nd World War' next weekend.
If you are getting the paper anyway and feel like being generous, any school library will probably be delighted to get the books or tokens... are these the ones you have to collect on a specific day do you think,or will you be able to accumulate the tokens? What do you think?

Did she remember the cigarettes, fireworks and 8 cans of Stella though?:rotfl:
One hundred years from now it won't matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little better because, I was important in the life of a child.

Just thought I'd clarify something that is not immediately obvious if you only "scan read" this.

The "books" that were included in last weekend's newspaper were AUDIO CDs.
The ones (WWI and WWII) inside NEXT weekend's papers are ALSO Audio CDs.

The ones available Mon-Fri this week and next week when exchanging the coupon at WHSmith are PAPERBACKS.

Today's "Rotten Romans" had 128 pages
