Always a TOTAL freebie in my house.
In fact I'd be significantly worse off if I didn't "BUY" them !!!!!!!!

I have at least £10 of newspapers EVERY week as an ABSOLUTE MINIMUM.
Several times a year it will be £20 - £25 and on odd occasions maybe even £40 or £50 worth.

I'd guess £750 to £1000 worth in a year.

NEVER pay for a single one.
NOT done so for at least 3 years, probably more than 4 actually, difficult to remember the last time I did pay for one.

Just use newspaper coupons and magazine coupons to buy the lot.

I get all the CDs and DVDs for nothing.
I've had all the Freebie offers (loads of pints of beer, dozens of free restaurant meals, Fish & Chips galore from Georges & Harry Ramsdens, sarnies from Subway and McDonalds, bags and bags of McCain oven chips, scores of cinema tickets, books, even a free DVD player apart from the P&P and loads of supermarket or product coupons for free items or money off for "discounts" at ASDA/Tesco etc.) .... the list is almost endless.

To maintain a stock of coupons I use coupons to buy papers with more coupons in.
For example - £2 coupon buys 5 Daily Mails at 40p each
Each Daily Mail has a £2 coupon in so I end up with £10 worth.
Used one £2 coupon to "buy" them so a net gain of £8

I buy enough of them frequently enough that I don't run out.

You really are a money saver. or just obsessed!
Am i here to save money or spend money......hmmmmm

Quite possibly the latter, or at least a little bit.
Having said that, any paper that gives away decent films worth watching is worth buying - it's an extremely cost effective way of building up a nice DVD collection ;)

Especially when TOTALLY FREE - see my previous posting !!!!

w_w_w ? When you edit the first post in this thread to update it with the lastest offerings, is there any chance of changing the original post title to include CDs and not just DVDs ?

I would if I could - unfortunately, only a moderator can do this, not the author of the original post. I assume Martin Lewis must have his reasons.

Redfox - please can you change the title of this thread to "Free Giveaway DVDs and CDs"? Thanks.

Which papers would you say have vouchers the most often ?

Probably The Daily Mail is the one I buy most frequently.

Usually I get a Daily Mail each day anyway as they have tokens to collect for all sorts of offers. (at the minute a Royal Doulton set of cut lead crystalglasses worth over £50 - just need to pay P&P - this needs 80 tokens from about 90 to 100 editions from early Sept to mid December.
If I find a coupon worth having (as per my previous example) in one of these I usually go back to the newsagent an "buy" a load more.

Also I keep an eye on the MSE coupon/vouchers thread. Recently there is a daily posting re newspapers with coupons.

From this I recently have "bought" quantities of The Times and The Guardian.
Also had Daily Express and the Sun.

Depends what's going about at the time and what the coupon is for. "Lower class" coupons tend to appear in the Sun & Mirror & Star, more "middle class" ones in the Daily Express & Daily Mail etc. and "high brow" offers in The Times, The Guardian & The Daily Telegragh..

Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: For legal reasons I have to discourage swapping, buying and selling on the forum (please see this rule). While it can be a very useful way of saving money it relies on a certain amount of trust between members and as such can cause problems (and has in the past). If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

no swapping on the forums please! Posts regarding swapping have been removed.
