I've just started using my old Barclays account and have a cheque book that has the date 2006 on it. Is there an expiration date of cheque books or do they work forever?.
Cheers.

I've just finished a book started in 2002 and probably issued several years before that (no date on it) .....
They will work until the bank changes its name (probably long after as well - HSBC still honour Midland cheques) or ceases to trade or cheques cease to exist. (Not that far fetched - it's happened in several countries)0
