Paying credit card with cheque

Hi,

I have a virgin credit card which I have nearly cleared. I just received a cheque for some freelance design work I have just completed and I was wondering if it is possible to pay this cheque (which is made out to me personally) straight onto my credit card? This way i don't have to put it through my personal current account.

Thanks for any help/info.

No (see the back of your statement...cheques must be payable to 'MBNA EBL').

If you have a debit card with your current account, you could pay online/by telephone with this once the cheque has cleared (4 days after you pay it in). The debit card payment will then clear in two days or so.
