Ok so I'm a bit addicted to morrisons alabama fudge cake, but at around 90p for one slice I think I need to get a homemade version. I found the chocolate icing even the whipped type tasty lovely but were sweeter than morrisons.
The nearest i got was a ganache, the butter ganache was yummy but very chocolatey and not very sweet (I suppose that depends on the chocolate). The cream granache seemed closest and given that in morrisons the cake is in the fridge section with the cream cakes I suspect theirs is a cream granache as well. Still not quite worked out the cake bit, but still testing lol.
