Win a flat???

Our local news recently featured a story about a couple who have set a website featuring a competition to win their flat. I've checked it out and it looks like the jist of it is that:
- Punter plays £25 to play spot the ball
- 12 prizes will be awarded - First prize being the flat followed by 11 cash prizes varying in % of total cash received.
- Maximum 8000 entries.
Now I'm a curious creature - is this a stress free way to raise the cash and get rid of a property?
Has anyone come across this before?

Been two or three of these, although this may be the first flat... Had a few similar ones in the early 90s when the housing market tightened. Think they need to ask a question (eg "who wrote Beethoven's 5th symphony") to make it a "game of skill" rather than luck - spot the ball may be a new angle.0

Very interesting news item Woby_Tide. It looks like it may depend on the genuineness of the competition hosts. In this case there is a clause in the rules that says that if they do not reach 6000 entries then 1st prize will be 65% of cash from entries and remaining prizes would stay at same %'s0
