Claiming child care for an au pair?

    What would happen if the au pair became fully registered then decided to go work for someone else offering a bit more money? You would be up the proverbial creek and right back where you started from.

    Presumably they'd have to reregister to be able to childmind in someone else's house.

    I do wonder whether the OP has made the subject more complicated than necessary by using the term au pair when she meant something more like a mother's help. She hasn't seemed to really understand what an au pair actually is.

    It hink what you want is a home carer this is what they call them in redbridge

    Like a childminer but in your house but selfemployed unlike a nanny.

    I am still investigating to due to change in working hours nursery or childminder will no longer be a viable option.
