Went into Richer sounds and on their advise bought the above machine 13 months ago. Was told how reliable it would be and the best for the price of £240.00. Lasted nearly nearly 1 month after the guarantee ran out. I am now told the lazer head needs replacing at a cost of £90.00.
Contacted LG customer service whose reply basically was "tough".
However Richer Sounds staff are very, very helpful and standard of customer service is excellent. They did everything they could for me and even suggested I contacted a local company who would not charge me for finding the cause of the problem. If they had gone through the official route they could have sent it back to their depot in Bristol and that would have been an intial fee of £35.00.

i know its not of help to you now but richer sounds do a 3 year super cover and if you dont use it during the 3 years you get your money back from it..
may help others in future,
