Lloyds TSB credit card - get more from it

Today I rang Lloyds TSB to cancel my credit card as the interest free period was up and I had paid the balance off. I was put through to a credit card closure department who offered me a further 6 months interest free credit on balance transfers plus a fixed rate of 9.9% for purchases. Not bad if you don't want to go to the hassle of taking out a new card and gaining points from the credit check. This has made a total of 15 months interest free
Everything you need is out there - you just need to ask..................:A

you've been really lucky....
I had been with TSB for 2+ years, rang them saying that good deals were only offered to new customers, blablabla.... the guy put me through to the cancellation dept, the operator asked why I was cancelling...told the same story and he said: "OK, I am cancelling your account, you will receive a letter confirm that, bye"
PS: I've got a current account with them, with a considerable balance and no consideration whatsoever....couldn't believe!!!! Luck you0
