I thought I would try martin's cheekiness, my son loves geox trainers (red) but they are £39 a go... called my catalogue and ordered then asked if I could have a discount as I had thrown out any promotional stuff they may have sent - nice kind lady tried several codes and settled on one that brought the trainers down to £25 - thanks nice kind lady and it shows - it's worth a try and doesn't hurt to ask!:rotfl: I think you could try this on all catalogues.

Well done! :T Being cheeky does pay sometimes.
I hope you compared prices with other places first for even more brownie points!0 -
I didn't think that actually worked lol. My dad tried it once for hassle he'd had over something but they never gave in at there end. So it pays to be cheeky if you canO0

I rung the AA to cancel as the RAC were doing an introductory years membership for £33 AA was £50. The AA matched the priceAnyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

I phoned up BT and asked for a MAC (it's a code that can allows other provides to transfer your account) they asked why and I said that I'd found a cheaper provider, they said they would look into reducing the amount - they said they put my broadband down to 19.99 each month (save 5quid a mth) - I said I think about it and call back.
So, a few days later I called again and asked for the MAC code, they asked why and I said I found a cheaper provider (same as first call ) they again said they would look at reducing the cost, but I told them that the last person I had spoke to had offered 19.99 but it was not good enough - I told them (too sweetened them up) that I would really like to stay with them as they were a great company, but I had to drastically reduce my out goings but still needed same speed and limit broadband for study, they asked me if they could try to reduce it more, so I said they could, but it needed to be a good offer for me to stay. they offered 6 months free broad band (approx 150 saving) and there after 22.99.
I got them to throw in a new hub and phone for free, and as I entered into a new contract I automatically receive free evening and weekend calls (landline)
I would never of dared to ask if I had not watched "it pays to watch"
I was out of the twelve month contract so this worked excellent for me, I know there are cheaper providers, but my area isn't covered by the cheapest cable providers yet, so this deal suits me fine:T0
