    Unless you arelookign for trojans i cant see why you'd want to know this, but i'll give a brief explanation.
    What you are seeing is a list of open ports that your machine is listening on for connections. TCP is one type of connection UDP is another. TCP is a connection oriented protocol and UDP is connectionless. That is trivialising it somewhat and is still a little obscure but is really too technical to go into detail here.
    All tcp/ip applications use ports to communicate.
    e.g web traffic(http) uses port 80
    Netbios(windows file and print 139 and various others)
