Y oh y oh y, does my wireless go disconnected when I plug my lappy into the mains, its fine when its running off the battery,

    Go to control panel.... then power options to see if there is an issue of what way the laptop reacts to when its on battery or on mains.....

    In the power profile it could be set to reduce power consumption by lowering power to the cpu, graphics card and wireless adaptor (off) but when on main it could be on full power. You can tweak the setting as startrekkers said its on control panel or could be in the taskbar bottom rhs near trhe clock
