I'm really impress how fast the site is working tonihgt. Shame I'm not impressed with a lot of the music although just as I'm going to give up I get a good track and it spurs me on some more.:T

my review for bigzzy-how we roll....

the intro was distinctive, very sharp. the vocals were fine, urban sounding and raw enough to pass, although not particulary expressive. the beat wasnt much to speak of, very basic, and in this case it doesnt work well, as there was nothing substantial enough to support it.
also, 'b*^ch, how you feel about swallowing semen'???? is that absolutely neccassary? the level of profanity,racism,sexism,promotion and glamourising of drug addictions and the promotion and glamourising of violence and violence towards women in particular does NOTHING for this song.
i'm afraid this is just some kids taking up the oppurtinity to peddle thier filth and bigoted,dirty,vile views onto the rest of us. i really hope this isnt funded, can you imagine if the already dangerously misguided youth of today hear something as foul as this??? no thank you!


now, i know its harsh, but when you hear this track you'll know why....its worse than the stuff thats already out there encouraging the 'yoof' of today to go and hack away at each other with bloody carving knives just for a bit of fun.

this absolutely vile,poisonous sh*t makes me so angry, my kids will want to be listening to this crap one day!!!!!!

its no wonder kids are as fcuked up as they are!

I got that track before isigned off last night and to be honest my review was very much like yours.

I can't understand why they allow such trash and abusive tracks on STP especially as thereviewers have to keep to certain rules so then should the bands.

And following on from that, just had some really good rap, with a clearly mid teenaged boy saying how fake and pointless gang and drug culture was, and that the only way to get on was to use your brain and respect others. I wrote a VERY long review about how refreshing it was, how I thought he could improve it even more, and how much I thought he deserved funding to get his message out there.

The review didn't go through, natch.

You mean the boy who talks about being 15 in his song? I thought it was really good too, and I hate rap per se!!:cool:

Yes! The don't cry for me when I'm gone, but make sure my music keeps playing - really touched me, that.

Managing to watchlist him, so will at least be able to tip! Phew...

Ditto. Lyrical Eye and 810 are other GOOD rap acts on STP. Ther is too much of that dross on there though. We need a (C)rap forum instead!!
