I usually buy Lurpak spreadable, but the Country Life on offer was too good to resist. Both spread fine straight from the fridge.0

I only ever ate Lurpak but will growing food costs tried Asda's smart price. Not spreadable if in the fridge so I bought myself a butter dish with lid so I can keep it out. I thought it was better than the Lurpak and am now a convert and only 84p for a block.0

Well, I bought asda own spreadable butter at the weekend, and I am pleasantly surprised at how well it spreads and how good it tastes. Hubby far prefers butter to marg, and although I rarely but it for him,I felt that £1 for 500g wasn't too expensive for a wee treat for him. Only thing is I hope he doesn't expect it every week.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0

Some people on Old Style make their own spreadable butter I haven't tried it but they seemed to think it was cheaper than buying it.

Thanks all....now, how do I choose?!
I have a book with a section on butter making; it's hard to get round to it though. I'll have a look at that link.I like you. I shall kill you last.0 -
I put some countrylife unsalted butter on a baked potato and I dont think it tastes better than a decent marg.. it kinda leaves a funny taste in the mouth, not a nice one. Maybe I am so used to flora etc that I've got used to that?0
