has anyone used us airlines.
They are the cheapest flights I can get to florida and I'd like to know a little about them. I've looked at their website and there isnt a lot of info I can find on there about what there planes are like ie any seatback tvs, seat pitch, etc.
If you have used them are they any good?
The flights are via north carolina but to save over £500 I figured it would be worth it.

I have flown them a few times and TBH I wasn't that impressed. The food is OK but legroom and entertainment was pretty basic but they did have seat back TVs on the transatlantic legs. If you are looking for excellent service they aren't the best IMO - they actually work and advertise themselves as a low cost carrier.
Bear in mind if you change at Charlotte in North Carolina your domestic flight will be basic in the extreme - no entertainment and no food (except to buy if you are lucky) but in fairness to US Airways, all the major US carriers are like this on domestic flights.
If you are saving £500 using them then its probably worth taking them however.0 -
Virgin have a sale on to Orlando at the moment, from £3470

I'm flying to LA with US Airways in October. Cheap as chips, so I'm not expecting luxury, but was happy with their fares and decided to book. I recently had a question and emailed them. I was impressed with the efficiency of their reply, so if the price is right for you, give it a go. They can't be worse than Globespan... ! :rotfl:0

US Airways are a decent airline. Their only downside is that they don't serve free booze, but if you're saving £500 then that's not an issue. Certainly my advice would be that the £500 would be far better spent on a hotel upgrade once you're there which you can enjoy for your whole trip, rather than a slightly better airline seat which won't make much difference and you'll only be in for 7 hours anyway.0
