Ford Focus okay with biodiesel?

Have just bought a second hand ford focus TDI and would like to run it on biodiesel. Have contacted Ford to ask about compatibility only to be informed that it won't run on 100% pure biodiesel. Has anybody took the plunge and tried their Ford on it anyway? Any advice appreciated, especially as we have a filling station 5 miles away.....

Most (if not all) biodiesel sold in the UK is actually 95% regular (fossil) diesel, 5% biodiesel blend - ask the filling station, they should know what they're selling (if it's a Rix station it's definitely only a 5% blend). In Germany it's up to 30% bio...... and I suspect Ford Foci still work. There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't
In many cases it helps if you say where you are - someone with local knowledge might be able to give local specifics rather than general advice0 -
