I think she will have problems with her DMP if she borrows any more. If she goes to court on the hearing day she should take a SOA with her to show she is paying what she can.
It might also be a good idea to get her SOA up on the board.
Sorry if I am being dense but what is a SOA?0 -
I too work for the NHS in a management role. What does your mum do? i have never heard of anyone being forced out because of bankruptcy. In fact a member of my staff is doing the same thing i spoke to HR and they told me there is no problem with his employment continuing.
Can i siggest she checks with her HR team before she does anything else. Happy for you to pm me if you need more info

Well we know WHY they are petitioning for BR... she has equity in her home... at least enough to clear ONE debt

I too think that if they really think they can get ALL that she owes them then they migth push for BR. Whilst a year ago I might have said otherwise, but now creditors seem to push for BR with some much lower figures than normally...
Definitely your mum should contact her DMP providers and discuss this with them... it MIGHT be that going bankrupt will be a good thing for her and at least this way she won't have to pay for it - the creditors will do it for her
