Mesh have some very good offers.. the spec of their pcs are generally better than most people - they actually know what they're doing.

I would always advise against a celeron, from personal experience.

I've always had excellent experience with Compaq PCs (now part of HP), and the only UK outlets for these seem to be PCW, Currys and Dixons, though Morgan Computers and HP's Ebay outlet offer refurbished ones. I've never had a problem with Compaq in 6 years, so I can't comment on PCW's after sales service. They were fine at supplying it (online purchase) and their price was very competitive for the spec.

I've also had poor experience of Dell PCs and laptops.

It's a bit over the initial budget and you would still need a printer but it is a much better spec.

    I would but I might get sued:p
My main problem with them is they fill their machines with dirt cheap parts and dirt cheap isnt always the best value for money!
I would say they overcharge for whats actually inside them.

I worked for Dell before and theyre actually pretty good. Mostly the things I was getting called out for werethings that go wrong with every computer and put right with one vist. Yeah there were some horror stories and the Indian call center, well...

once you do get your pc leave this program running on it at least overnight and if it comes up with any errors get it sorted.
