Hello!!

Me and my partner are looking to go to Amsterdam from 4/9/08 to 7/9/08 (3 nights) and trying to find the cheapest possible deal. By using sites like lastminute.com I am getting quotes for 4 star at around £350 but I want something alot cheaper ideally.

I would prefer 4* but a nice 3* would be fine, room only is ok, however b&b would be preferred ... somewhere central, that isn't to difficult to reach from the airport, and is near the main attractions (museums, canals, coffee shops, other places of interest)

If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it. Looking at flights alone we can both get there for about £80...any way of doing this cheaper is much appreciated - flying from any london

have the terminus for 69 euros a night for both of you, not a bad hotel, right in the center of amsterdam

Hi, me and my girlfriend went to Amsterdam a couple of months back.

We used Easyjet for the flights and https://www.hotels.nl for the hotel.

We stayed in Museum hotel, really nice hotel in Leidseplein area. Its not right smack bang but you can walk to all the places within 20mins and its a nice walk to be honest.
Its also next door as good as to Vondel park which is a nice stroll when weather nice.

Train from Schipol airport to Central station about 10-15 mins. Hotel from Station about 30 mins walk but tram goes right outside it.

Thanks guys, its all still looking a bit expensive ... cant seem to find anything other than 1 or 2* for less than £50 per night ... think i'm being a bit ambitious?
