Car purchase - Private or garage

Hi all,

I usually buy cars privately from autotrader and then something goes wrong almost straight away.

My question is what extra cover do i have from purchasing a car from a garage?

Quite a lot. There was a thread on here a while ago about someone who had bought a car privately and was then told there was a lot wrong with it.

Usually at least a 1 year warranty.

That's the major difference and they have stricter rules about selling cars with faults.
