They only pay you after they've been paid, so if they get the £40, then they'll pass it on to you!

Yes I understand that but originally the deal was £20 cashback for a policy taken out but its showing as me having a total of £40, that's the bit I don't understand.

Quick update, Choicequote when I did the full detailed quote increased to near £800, so i checked a few more which were similar (about £800 ish include the green insurance company) and rung up my insurers.

When i said the magic words "not renewing" they suddenly requoted saying the computer system had changed so they might be able to better it - eventually reaching a quote of £815. I will file that explaination under "B for B*ll@cks" I think.

Think there is a cashback site for CIS I am sure, so will hunt it down. I had a quick settlement of a claim with them l;ast year, so if they are about the right money will go with them again - but would be nice the squeeze the pips out of em'.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Just shows how they prey on the lazy at renewal time!

I wouldn't lose any sleep. There seem to be quite a few anomalies from Q on the side of the member (which is probably why you don't often hear about them - people see they are down to get more than anticipated, and just hang on and see what they end up with).

The time to worry is if you end up with less than the £20! I will send you bank account details where to send any extra if you get it:T

Thanks. I'm not worried at all, I doubt I'll see any of it if reports are true lately. It will be a bonus if I do and no biggie If I don't.

  • Just going back to your original post, I've looked at their website and it would appear that Choice Quote are owned by Groupama who are a pretty big insurer.
