Freezer Door Left Open - Food OK?

Hubby (who's now in the doghouse lol) managed to leave the door open about an inch on our freezer last night for 2-3 hours. It is a tall upright one and was full as only shopped this week.
Lukily I spotted the red warning light and closed it. Few bits at the front had started defrosting as they were closest to the open door.
As long as I cook everything fully, will it be ok or do I have to empty it all in the bin? Is there anything that wouldnt be safe?

Hi,
If they had only started defrosting and not completely I don't think you have anything to worry about.

If any of the stuff that started defrosting was ice-cream - tubs or cornets - I would get rid of it. A friend had really bad food poisoning from ice-cream which had been partially defrosted and refrozen. The investigator told her that refrozen ice-cream is one of the most common causes of food poisoning.
I'd take a chance on anything else - as you say, cook it well.0
