    There will always be small minded people like yourself who use words like 'retard' and 'negro' (which was the n__ word I was referring to, not the slag derivative you thought) and insist that 'they're legitimate and factual words used to describe a section of the community. Luckily, you're on the fringe.

    Firstly I never labelled anyone a 'retard'. In fact, no-one did. Even the link which set you off on an almighty torrent of self-indignation used the word '!!!!!!' and not 'retard'. A bit of a difference.


    Secondly. calm down. You'll give yourself a hernia with your ranting.

    EDIT: Thirdly, regarding the use of the word 'Negro' which I'm sure you didn't mean when you referred to N________ : This quote is from Martin Luther King's 'I have a dream' speech:

    Firstly, the word 'retard' and the word '!!!!!!' are exactly the same word, just used in past-tense. Here is a link to help you with your english language skills: http://www.englishclub.com/pronunciation/-ed.htm

    I'd have no difficulties describing the child in the photo as 'being a !!!!!! child' because that is a perfectly correct definition.

    I would however hesitate to describe the child as 'a retard' because that is most certainly a term which has come to be used in a derogatory way. Not just labelled by PC-idiots as 'offensive' but actually used as a term of insult.

    A subtle difference, but subtleties tend to get lost in the broad, broad brushstrokes of political correctness. They certainly got lost on you since you have a number of times on this thread accused me of calling the kid 'a retard' even though I have done nothing of the sort :rolleyes:

    Unless your habit of going off on one, as evidenced above, is a sign of endearment then I think your words give a pretty good insight as to your temperament at the time of posting.

    Unless descriptive words such as "I am enraged" or "Dithering Dad hammered away angrily at his keyboard", there is no way to indicate any sort of emotional response in text. For information I am actually slightly amused that we've both entered into a competition of "who can make !!!!!!? look the most biggoted fool on MSE". I'm ashamed to say that you're winning. :o

    You've also 'proved' that Martin Luther King was racist against 'negros'. Way to go, congratulations on your triumph over adversity! :rotfl:

    Mind you, the media are doing their best to play it down and the catastrophic slide in share values and seemingly endless stream of bad news is being kept away from headline news.

    Well, you've finally stopped accusing me of using the term 'retard' which means you've taken something on board.

    Sadly for you, my only use of the term negro so far has been in quotes of Martin Luther King speeches where (no doubt in his ignorance brought on by living in pre-PC times) he uses the word repeatedly. If only he could be as enlightened as you and realise that in fact he was using a racist term.

    found out today that another friend has a 4.5% fixed rate ending in September, quite worried for them.

    Around the time of Northern Rock, Bradford and Bingley and Alliance and Leicester were also thought to be in imminent danger.

    Also, HBOS are up to their neck in UK property exposure.
