Additional TV Points

We recently moved house and a new digital aerial had already been installed. It feeds into the lounge and works our Humax a treat.
I've noticed there's a remote link in the garage which the aerial is connected to. There are also additional cables feeding from it which feed into each of the 4 bedrooms.
I tried to tune a tv tonight in one of the bedrooms but there wasn't a signal being picked up.
The digital cable is white whereas the other cables are black so I'm guessing the black cables were for the old analogue aerial (new digital aerial installed recently). Would this cause a problem and do I need to replace the black cable with new digital cable?
Thanks

You will probably find that the cables are not connected to the aerial. "Digital cable" is just [strike]a gimmick to fool the public into buying something they don't really need[/strike] good quality cable. I am currently running 6 TV sockets without "digital cable" and all are fine. What I do have though is an amplified distribution system as a single aerial cable is not sufficient to run more than 1 or maybe 2 TV's.0

There is no such thing as a 'digital' aerial. Any aerial capable of receiving an analogue signal will also be able to receive digital transmissions."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Back to the drawing board then. What you guys are saying is that the additional points should still be working.0 -

I think this remote link set up in the garage must be the amplified distribution system?0 -
the remotelink is similar to this one

so I guess it's sky that is piped around the house? I do have a couple of sky boxes spare. What is the best way to test this? The sky point is in the lounge but I use freeview now. Could I just wire up the skybox in the lounge or do I have to connect the sky box to a tv in the lounge?

I had a good look at the cabling at the weekend and am now even more baffled. The cable direct from the roof aerial and into the living room gives a really poor reception and is currently unused.
There is a cable from the UHF connection on the remotelink which runs into the lounge and gives a perfect reception. THis is the baffling bit, how??0 -

I'm still struggling with this. The remotelink has cables running from it to the lounge and each of the bedrooms yet there is a great reception in the lounge and absolutely dead as a dodo in the other rooms.
