I can't find a job anywhere

I'm currently working evenings and all day Friday for 30 hours per week, but this really isn't enough - I can't even pay my outgoings.

I can't find a placement and I fear it's probably too late to get into one now, although I am trying.

I can't get a permanent job as I'm going back to uni in September.

What the hell am I supposed to do?

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I think as students, an agency is the best way to go. weekly pay, (even if it is a week in hand) and they expect you to leave roundabout uni time. And they will keep you on there books for the next lot of holidays.
I walked into a recruitment agency yesterday... and before I even sat down they asked if I could work night shifts...I said yes, (I am that desperate) I now start work on Monday.

I am with 2 agencies...hopefully between them I will be in a job until I start back at Uni.

    Good luck.

Go to the job centre, they have hundreds of jobs available as long as you're not going to be too picky, ie. no cleaning, no glass collecting etc.

After you have a job try to cut down your outgoings somehow.

@imapoorstudent, I think what you need to do is look at where you live first. The job hunt situation is unique to every city.

I live in Bristol as a student so I can only go by what is here in Bristol but here is what I would think is a good path to go:

+The agencies may be full up with many returning students but agencies like BerkeleyScott do catering so you could try them as they snap people up quickly. What type of experience do you have? Have you done a great deal of call centre work? Gumtree.com has a wealth of customer service and office jobs you can apply to as well.

+Cleaning: Many people would balk at the idea of doing cleaning but consider it as something you could do for a small amount of time for like 3 weeks. Gumtree always has plenty of cleaning jobs that go for at least £6.15 an hour or so.

+Do you have anything you could sell? Any gorgeous shoes? Gadgets like a Laptop or a hi-fi? Consider what you really need as opposed to what you want. Sell off anything that you could live without. I am a student and I have been living without a laptop for months and I am fine! I have been going to my university computer centre using the Net and I know that I will get one eventually but at the moment it is not viable. No one really needs an ipod. Get rid of anything you don't need.

+Teach English: Offer your services of teaching English online. You would be surprised how many people will take you up on the offer.

If you need anymore help, please do not hesitate to ask.
