oh no that brings back childhood memories!

as a kid I was always hungry and we rarely were allowed to eat between meals so I remember raiding the baking cupboard and eating...everything! even the cooking chocolate which was horrible. I guess it was probably years old as well as my mum didn't have much time for baking- still we didn't have sell by dates back then so it didn't matter!

OMG - do you mean 'Scotbloc' ?

My mum used to buy that when I was young and we couldn't afford real chocolate to cover cakes etc. (This was the early 1980s!) It was ... wrong!

The Dr Oetker range seems to be more expensive than when it was Supercook, so grab the Supercook goodies while you can, when they've gone the brand will no longer exist, lets hope the product is still the same despite the new name!

The hundreds and thousands I bought in Asda for 13p the other day are already the Dr Oetker branded.

So not sure what is going on there.

  • There were still lots on the shelves in Tesco Formby earlier today, and also quite a few in Tescos in Southport - I went to both in search of the Cath Kidston bags and managed to get some in Southport - DD's both want them for schoolbags.

I also got some Whitworths dried vegetables for 10p but the Pearce Duff blancmange stuff was still 66p.

The supercook designer icing was also reduced but only to 60p.
