Ferry Day Return Trips...Not Returning in time

I am looking to go to France for the Week and realise that is is far cheaper to book two day returns rather than one week return ticket.
T&C's state that if the return journey is not fulfilled within the 24 hours, the credit/debit card will be charged the difference for a single fare.
What I want to know is has anyone actually done this and been charged/got away with it?
Looking to use SeaFrance from Dover to Calais.
Thanks

Would your return ticket (a week later) be cancelled if you didnt travel out on that day?
i dont know but guess it is possible0 -
The point is that the Ferry Company has your CC details. If you break the T&C's of those journeys, they are entitled to debit your CC acordingly. I know people this has happened to. Try it at your peril, but don't complain if you find a nasty surprise on your CC statement.:rolleyes:0

We have done it a few times and not been caught, but a friend did it on our advise and was caught for full fare both ways! Still speaking to though.0
