You are not protected. Please, check the following components:
Update Manager: The control file is missing
I have tried updating but it wont update, any ideas anyone? I can't get on to their forum thingy.
Thanks in advance

No answers. Just to say hopefully this is an AVG glitch that they are in process of sorting out - as I've been prompted by my AVG security thingie today and trundled through the process and also seem to have a missing control file bit.0

Just looks like they have not got the control file in the right location on the server, or the server is down etc...... I've had this problem today too..... Hopefully they will sort it out soon

SNAP!!
same thing has been happening to me!!!! - on mine when it does eventually update (after trying several times!!) - it now asks me to restart the computer!! - has this happened to anyone else??0 -
Yes - exactly the same on 3 different computers at 3 different locations. Seems that one of the recent updates requires a restart, and that Grisoft are having problems at their end.
If the latter doesn't get sorted soon I'll be moving to something else...0 -
But i think the problem is from a virus, atleast mine is.0
