i've tried to find it but i can't find my old policy. pretty sure i was so disgusted at the time that i ripped it up!! tut... i'm trying to find policys that cover for car hire rather than courtesy car!.0

You are covered for theft- they will pay out for the car in the end. Why do you think they dont cover for theft?0

Lloyds TSB says:
Courtesy Car following a Claim
Following a claim under Section B or Section C, if Your Car is repaired by an Approved Repairer, they will provide You with a car whilst Your own is being repaired.
Section B is Damage, and Section C is Theft.0 -
FC, the car that was stolen is covered, but the OP is complaining that he didn't get a courtesy car/hire car after the car was stolen because it had not been recovered.0
