Have had to take the shower mixer off to replace the seals with a new kit - long story and wont go into it lol.......anyway the inside of the unit and the pipe inlet thingys are dirty and abit full of 'scum'....whats the best way of cleaning it up - im inclined to think I can soak all the bits in water with abit of baking soda for a while (like i do with the kettle) but am abit hesitant....any ideas???? Im guessing its just a build up of 12 years worth of whatever is in the water - thanks in advance
'Normal' is a dryer setting.

i'd use something like vinegar, but if it was a load of scum then kettle descaler. or concentrated vinegar (hard to get)GOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time.
