First holiday with the boyf... Ideas/advice apreciated

I'm thinking of taking my byofriend away for his 20th birthday in the first week of september. Its either that or a playstation 3 but I need a tan :rotfl:

Anyway it will be our first holiday abroad together and first without our families.

I've had a look on Thomsons etc and I'm getting £400+ each  I'm only a poor student and was hoping for something alot cheaper.

Teletext I've got some quite cheapys but theyre all for Costa Brava, Costa del sol, Barcelona etc and I dont really fancy there. Maybe its a case of beggers not being choosers...

I'm thinking more Turkey or Lanzorote (SP) or even Mallorca or Ibiza.

Any ideas where else to look? Its for two people, a week from NE airports. Would prefer half board or AI but I might have to accept I want too much for a couple of hundred quid each.

Thanks. :D

one thing that may be hiking up the price is the week you are looking at, which is probably still the school holiday week.

if you can, i would look at the week after when prices will probably be a bit cheaper. if you are a uni student it shouldn't affect you, as you go back later than schools. you can always make up a holiday voucher to give to him on his birthday once you've booked it.

sorry i haven't helped with a holiday idea, but i'm sure some more forum members will be along with some options soon.

£200 each isn't much can your boyf contribute?

Sounds like £400 in total, not each.

I've just re-read the OP post and realised that she wants half board or all inclusive for the £200 each too, if you do manage to find such a bargain can you let me know as im struggling to find the el dorado on the map and thought you may be able to help.

A holiday or PS3? No contest, I'd take the holiday every time :D

Have a look on teletext, then nip down to your TA and ask them to beat that price. Good luck!

Did you look at their Auction Site?

But, as has been said earlier, AI in a school hols week won't come cheap!

They have 7N SC in Bodrum (Turkey) from NCL on 14th September.

(ps...note there is a £20 pp booking fee on top of the auction price.)
