Altering Curtians.....

I have a pair of curtains for my dd's room but I didn't realise that I'd bought the wrong sort!
They are tab top curtains and currently there is a plastic curtain track up. I know the easiest option would be to change the pole but after a recent drilling disaster I'd rather just try and alter the curtains!!
What is the best way of doing this? The curtains will very rarely be pulled it's more just a decorative thing!!
Thanks in advance

It depends how handy you are at sewing!
Depending on how the tabs are attached, you should be able to either cut them off very close to the edge of the curtain, or unpick them. Then it's just a case of attaching some curtain tape. Obviously easier/faster if you have a sewing machine, but easily do-able by hand too

Could you try taking them back to the shop and explain your mistake?0
