Any estate agents? Room sizes on Rightmove

I have absolutely no idea what metric means. I can't visualise it. So I'd find an online calculator or create a quick excel sheet to convert the lot.
It's annoying. They should do it in both.0 -
I agree, it should be in both.
I'm 30, and for me, people are X ft and Y inches tall, and Z stone. Long distances are miles, and land areas in acres. I can do smaller measurements (bag of rice, length of arm) equally happily in lb and oz / kg or inches / cm....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
I am a completely metric girl and am much happier with kg and metres in almost everything except room dimensions! This i because I mentally compare them to my old house, where I know what the dimensions of the rooms were in feet and inches. Terribly retro I know. But it just goes to show they should put them on in both.0

What about height and weight? To me that seems a veyr imperial thing, still - I have no idea of my height or weight in metres and kilos, but I know I'm 5 ft 7 and 10 stone 2lb....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Most agents I've seen use feet and inches though. Metric is pretty rare IME.0 -

Weight means far more to me in kg. Height I can deal with both. BMI is always what I really want to know though....:p0 -
I agree. I bought my first flat with details in ft and inches, and so that's the room size blueprint in my head. I hate those houses with the dimensions only in metric - I can't picture that at all.0

i hope many sellers and estate agents see this thread and try to catch more eyeballs for the property they advertise by mentioning the room sizes in both feet and metres. that way everyone will be happy.
personally i cant be bothered converting metres into feet, reaaly irritates me and i never end up viewing a house that has sizes mentioned only in metres. i take a dislike to the brochure itself even before i think about a viewing. i find that some estate agents use only metres and i always steer clear of their websites. if i ever got to selling a house then i would always mention the dimensions in feet and metres.bubblesmoney :hello:0
