store card bullies

Bullying is one of these words people seem to use on this board when they've got a bee in their bonnets about something rather than actually using the word correctly.
Sometimes, but not alwaysIs setting someone targets at work bullying? No.
She is more than likely to be exposed to targets for the rest of her working life
The OP isn't complaining about the manager having targets or the manager being bullied becuase they are set targets.
The OP's daughter was not set any targets.0 -
OMG! Are you American? You are behaving like one.....
rabbiting on about it being someone elses fault, fighting for someone who should know better, what is it with people like you......this chain of thought has brought this country into mess that it is......

its the only way you could get staff discount when i worked at Debenhams as a student - on one of their store cards, although 25% off was good0

I don't think DIY stores have the same appeal as Debenhams for 18 year old girls0

Then they won't get in debt then having one!0

Thank you everyone for your replies. I certainly don't think my daughter is "stupid" but as I said she said NO many times but eventually did give in and signed, yes she shouldn't have done that and she knew that straight away and was cross with herself BUT an 18 year old Saturday girl against a Manager isn' t really fair!
My original point was with regard to her credit rating but I had a couple of helpful replies to that so thanks once again.0 -

Forceing someone who is in need of parental care to commit to a financial document is an abuse of power. If however an appropriate adult was present when the application form was filled in then Im afraid it is legal, without an appropriate adult present then it is illegal.
I don't think it is illegal, if she is old enough to open a credit card then she is old enough not to need 'parental care'!0
