Xbox 360 memory help, please

Hi, i had a search of threads but couldn't find the information i needed
I have recently bought an xbox 360 for my son, he has got an xbox but we have upgraded him for his birthday. Anyway, we don't seem to be able to save his game and he is getting quite frustrated at having to start again each day. I assumed it had its own memory like the xbox, is this the case??? Or am i going to have to fork out for a memory card or something??
Sorry i really don't get these games consoles too well:o

Oh, we have the premium console if that helps :D

Thanx in advance for any help

  • The xbox 360 Arcade pack (white console and white front) is sold new without hard drive

The xbox 360 Premium Pack (white console but silver dvd drive) is sold new with a 20gb hard drive.

So I would have expected the pack to include the harddrive. Might need to double check what you thought you were purchasing as if it was a used unit from ebay for example sometimes people sell them without the harddrive so that they can keep the harddrive with all their game saves on.

If the link works, this is where i brought it, i have just re read the description and i think it should have had a hard drive with it from the write up....
It's been a bit of a nightmare because the power brick did not work and it had the wrong power lead so cutting a little bit of money has been a bit of hassle :(

  • yes according to that link it definately states HD. Double check that its not actually attached to the xbox already and just doesnt need disconnecting and reconnecting. Its possible they shipped it without the HD by mistake if you really cant see it anywhere in the box or attached to the xbox 360 already. Just look for the lumpy bit on one side (very technical) see the second picture link I added to my original post to tell if its already attached.
