I currently use an old version of Microsoft Money which is really good. I have bought a lap top and need to add financial management software to it but don't have my old microsoft money disc therefore thought I would buy a current version. however, Microsoft are not launching the latest version in the UK. Can anyone recommend another software package that is suitable for managing personal finances?

Ace Money Lite is worth looking at. It is free as well which is very nice.

The best around is MS Money *. You can still buy older versions from, say, Amazon very cheaply
Whilst it's no longer supported by MS, it still runs perfectly, even in Vista and if you are used to using it, then that's the biggest problem overcome.
*I would say Quicken, but that doesn't run in Vista.0 -
Thanks both
Does anyone else have comments on those recommended or can recommend other personal financial software? 0 -
I use Moneydance which has the advantage of being cross-platform (windows, OSX, linux).Wot, no sig?0

I still use Money on Vista and as said before, it still runs fine and is still supported by Microsoft to the same level it always was.0

Moneydance is excellent, and once you buy it (just under £20) future upgrades are free. It's easy to use and cross platform.Life is not a dress rehearsal.0

Problem is that this requires Java which in itself beings a whole world of pain and insecurity on a Windows box these days. There is a very good reason java is banned from all public sector PCs these days.0 -

So far I've had no problems - I was told that Java was slow, but Moneydance certainly isn't - it's both quick and stable.Life is not a dress rehearsal.0 -
I have Quicken XG installed on Vista and its runs fine. I did read that there were problems if it is installed in the programms directory so I installed in its own c:\Qw.0

If you don't object to Java, I like using japb mainly due to its link with jabplite on my moblie, with which it can now sync.I am not a financial advisor or other expert.
