Parking Manchester Central

We are going to the kids fun ideas show at Manchester Central (formerly G-Mex) on Saturday. Can anyone advise on reasonable all day parking in or around the city centre.

Arggh - just typed a long reply and the computer ate it! In summary:

Loads of £2 - £4 cheap places to park if you want to do a 20 min walk. BUT for £7 you can park at the GMEX so that is what I would do.

WArning - there are at least 2 gmex carparks. 1 is the underground one - do not park there! Its expensive!!

The cheaper one is outdoors and is up a hill next to the gmex. Depends what direction you come from but directions are:-

If you go past gmex with it on your right and bridgewater hall on your left, drive along, past a road on the right, past bauer millet (sp) showroom , then just after that, a right turn up a hill. From the bottom you may be able to see there is a construction site at the top. drive up there , its an ncp , all day is approx £7 (12 hours). You are right next to the gmex there. If thats full, you can park at the bauer millet showroom for £8.50.

Edited to add - those prices are weekday prices. Its possibly cheaper on a sat ( but unlikely!)
