Having a week at Haven, Devon Cliffs from tommorrow, and have never visted the area. Any recommendations for days out for a 4 year old please?

Hi
Your little one would really like CREALY ADVENTURE PARK, they have rides and animals for children, also the DONKEY SANCTURY, is a great place for children and adults, and its FREE, you could also take the coatal walk down to the beach from here, its quite a trek down though, also around the area are BICTON GARDENS, and WORLD OF COUNTRY LIFE, hope this info helps you.

You will have a great time!! Devon Cliffs is great. Buddleigh Salterton is a really nice beach near there that has a little park near the beach. The stones are really round and flat (used to be a river bed in the Triassic period or something?!!?) and your little one may like to look for dinosaur fossils there! There is a sandy beach right at Devon cliffs. Crealy is good and there are boat trips from nearby Exmouth.
We found that the food in the main restaurant upstairs (can't remember what it was called) was not very good. The beach restaurant seemed a bit better. There is a large Tesco (no cafe) at the top of the hill that you can get essentials from

Further away there's the tramway at Seaton.

And the Beer Pecorama with lots of trains.

we've just come back from there.
Mine really enjoyed Paignton zoo which was just under a 1 hour drive. Excellent for little ones with little train and ball pool area (with colouring sheets) when they get fed up with walking.
We also enjoyed Sidmouth (about 25 mins drive). Park at the end of the seafront where there's a big carpark and kids playground,
and Buddleigh Salterton (kids playground by seafront carpark) follow signs for seafront
ps not impressed with Haven Devon cliffs. Kids club was in dark gloomy bar with about 75 kids ages 0 to teens, dirty caravan which smelt of gas. ps swimming lessons were good value as not many kids doing them so my daughter had one to one supervision on one day, nearest beach is full of river weed and flys0
