Anyone used Stopzilla?

Hi folks, just after a wee bit of advice.

After a bit of bother with popups and spyware over the last couple of days, i decided to download a free 15 day trial of Stopzilla.

It seems to have got rid of my problems (well the computer related ones anyway ) and i was going to see what it was like over the next week or so before deciding whether to purchase it at the end of the trial.

However after doing a search on google i've found quite a few people complaining it clogs up your system and leads to more problems than it solves!!

Has anyone used Stopzilla in the past or currently use it?

we had it on the old computer but not on the new it was fine and it did the jobs it promised. we spyboot on the new one.

@hockeyboy - you could always try a free download of firefox and the ad-block extension

FF will kill most popups automatically, the ad-block extension for FF (also free) allows you to (very satisfyingly) remove almost any sort of ad from pages you visit. permanently. once done, that ad will never show on that page again - FF simply rearranges the page so there isn't a huge gap where the ad was and you have a much nicer browsing experience.

oh yeah - and this on top of all the other good things about FF (less of a resource hog than some other browsers, tabbed browsing, very quick, very configurable etc etc) ad-aware and spybot should cover your spyware and such issues very nicely. (also free)
