Hi
does anyone have this letter by any chance pls? I need to respond to a dca whos taken over an account asap and want to put this in with it as the phone calls are a pain in the bum! Also how likely are they to take notice of it ie. will they get into trouble of they continue to ring.

Ooh yes i've read that one, so funny esp the lion sleeps tonight one! lol.Funnily enough tihs one was a capital one debt. Have already told them i won't confirm my details over the phone as they could be anyone so think i better get a letter off quick smart so i don't pee them off completely:rolleyes:
Thanks for that0 -
Oh dear, seems i;ve not been quick enough, this morning have rec'd letter demanding payment within 7 days or immediate action will be taken & they've kindly shown me how much extra will be added on if they decided to take it to court! Hmmm sure this is a scare tactic and I've not spoken/corresponded with them yet as only found out they they've taken it over last week so they may think i'm ignoring it but i'm not.
Ok is it a good idea to ring in these circumstances? Only going to tell them a letters in the post so it doesn't look like i'm ignoring the issue.
Any advice?? Thanks0 -
Hi there, with regards to the phone calls, I have written to some creditors numerous times stating that I will only contact them in writing but unfortunately I am still receiving calls from certain ones  . I refuse to speak to them over the phone and I state this each time that I write to them as in my expereince I find that they don't listen anyway and try to get money that you don't have there and then. Their excuse seems to be that they can't delete my number as my account is in arrears but other creditors have been fine about this.
If I were you I would get a letter in the post about your situation and I wouldn't pick the phone up to call, just do everything in writing.0 -
THanks for the advice, am just going to get all my papers together and get ready for posting tomorrow recorded. Seriously considering changing phone number anyway as then will only have mobile to deal with so that will help. Wish i had considered what could happen in the future before putting all my bloody contact details on the application form!! grrrrrr0
