As the cat in question is friendly it suggests that he's lost rather than feral. It might be possible that this poor stray has a microchip - fingers crossed. Would you be prepared to take him to a vet's for him to be scanned? If he has and the owner wants him back then that'd cut out you having to search for a home for him. If there is no microchip then I'm sure the vet could make some good suggestions about finding a home for him.
You're very kind to look after this cat, not everyone else would put themselves to any trouble. I hope he finds a loving home very quickly.0 -
This cat needs to be checked for a microchip.
Did you get the others you took in scanned before you decided to keep them?0 -
you should take him to a vet to get him scanned for a microchip and also to get help for his tail and neutered if possible, the vet would probably do it for free/cheap since he is a stray. you should also try putting up posters etc. looking for an owner, generally friendly cats are lost pets, real ferals aren't usually friendly at all.money earned online so far:
