stonethrower wrote: »Glad to hear your investments are doing well you say that the reductions are for property that were overpriced where as I say ALL property is overpriced and there has to be more of a fall than there already has.
How much property do you own and what makes you the one and only expert that says all property is overpriced?
Property has and always will be only worth what a buyer will pay for it.0 -
AND you think this little selection matters in the great scheme of things ? its carnage out there and you know it is...:rotfl:It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
Sorry, long tiime lurker here can't keep quiet any longer. Pickles, you are full of !!!!!!. Saturday I visited some estate agents in Felixstowe and they weren't even trying to pretend they weren't desperate. Loaded me up with al the details I could carry and half had the prices reduced in biro as there's no point printing new ones. Half of what is marked stc on Rightmove has actually completed months ago and the other half has been stc for months on end as chains fail to complete. The top end of the market is completely static (note the £1.5m pad reduced by £250k and the 4 bed detached been on over a year reduced £50k still not sold) and it is indeed carnage.
If you're now gonna now retaliate by asking me how many properties I own, don't bother - unlike you I do own property whereas all yours are owned by the banks, poor over-extended soul that you are. Green shoots my ar5e.0 -

Here in prosperous Hertfordshire lenders valuers are lopping 15 - 20% off.
I'll send em to you Pickle, you put them straight.
And BTW, yes in my area the consensus was the property wont drop here, yawn.
Geroge Soros and those other financial Lords of the Universe need to be put straight also, if you have time.
Smart property people offloaded a year or two back, and avoided a 20%+ capital reduction.0 -

Something you dont seem to realise is an awful lot of people out there have the capacity to dial up a few hundred grand equity out of thier pad and use as deposits on a few B2Ls.
Thing is see, they wonder why if it's so great, that all those thousands of hedge funds and Wall st Banks dont do it, instead of fiddling about with shares and stuff, in'it.
I wonder why they dont.........mmmmmmmmmmm0 -

There you go any more trouble for you being unable to use rightmove I will come and give you a lesson FOC.
According to Property Bee, only 3 of those (1, 4 and 6) have had an offer accepted recently. The other 5 sold some time ago.
I phoned the agent of the last one on your list and they told me that the property sold some time ago and that it is in Bristol House, Sea Road. According to Property Bee, nothing has happened on that flat since it at least 15 May (when it was put on the Property Bee data base). So it must have sold before 15 May at least.
This is the last property showing as sold in that building and it sold in February according to nethouseprices.

How would I recognize you? Oh right, you'll be the one with his underpants on his head, 2 pencils up his nose mumbling "Wibble".0
