Train Tickets - bound by times of travel?

If I purchase SAVER RETURNS from Gatwick, am I bound by the train times on the tickets? I ask as I have worked out approximately when we should be through after the flights arrive and added a short time on. However, if the plane is delayed would that mean I could not use these particular tickets or does it not really matter as long as travel is on the day?
I do not know if the tickets would have the times on or not???

Saver tickets can be used on any off-peak train, as long as the date is valid. You may get seat reservations sent to you but you don't have to use them. On the other hand, Advance tickets must be used on a specific train.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
