At my son's senior school one of the photo options was to buy a digital version. This is what we diid and then just printed off the copies required at Boots.

    Hi Frogga

Not sure if this will help at all, but what I do is move £30pm into a seperate savings account for anything that DD may need throughout the year. It doesnt sound alot but thats £360 each year.

I buy her shirts from the second hand shop as BN they are £19 each:eek:   and only £1 from the school shop and OH always makes sure that they are either new or hardly worn. I had to buy her another blazer in the Easter hols and that was £85. Luckily, she will only need a basic stuff for September but I have around £250 in the account. Any extra will be used for days out etc and saved towards next year. This is also used for school trips etc, but grandparents are both quite generous.

    Afternoon All,

Yes believe it or not we were asked for ALL of the list over a two week period

As for the dying of white clothes, well that would still have meant I'd have to have white clothes, which I didn't as tadpoles can get very mucky you know so it's not a colour I promote ;) and then I'd have to buy the dye which I looked into but it was £5 for enough for one item, so I guess it would have cost more.

I know , I know what you meen about the school photos and I havent bought for the last 3 years. This is Tadpole 1's last primary school photo and it's unusally good ( he often pulls a pained expression!) and I hate the thought of his little face going in a shredder  Pathetic frog aint I?

Hi Penny ~ Great to hear from you old pal xxxx Yes I think that it would be a good idea to put some away but at the moment there aint any spare  I start my new job in September which is going to pay DOUBLE what I get in the library so things should be better then. I do pay £25 each month into Tadpoles bank for them to learn to manage their money. Out of this they buy all "extra" like pressies for others, posh toiletries, clothes et.c. I wont allow them to pay for school stuff though as that's my responsibility. Tadpole 1 did offer several times to pay for lots of stuff but I told her if we run out of food at the end of the month she can buy that ;)

Oo and there isn't a second hand uniform shop unfortunatly xx

It may be something to put to the school - I imagine there would be plenty of interest, especially for those without other siblings for hand-me-downs. It's pricey stuff - especially if they require you to have items with the school badge on to ensure that you have to buy it from the school at a set price.
