Barbados/Caribbean holiday help please

Hello,

I hope I do this right as this is my 1st post.

I'm desperate to get from Manchester to Barbados for 2 weeks but because of Crop Over it's really expensive.

If anyone can help with hints or tips to get a cheap flight & cheap apartment in Christchurch I would be forever grateful!

I can fly from 20.30 25/07/08 & have to be back in work at 10.00 on 12/08/08- I'll sleep after work if necessary!

I may have a friend who can sort out a flight for £400 but this isn't definate.

The lowest apartments are USD 75 a night.

I'm still looking for help please. My friend couldn't get the mates rates & the fares are even higher.

I had an email about sale fares but when I searched the entire sale date range, I couldn't find any fares that matched the advert- do you think this is worth pursuing? I'm willing to try anything to get there at mo!!

I had a long look for you and the cheapest I could find was £875pp flights with bmi
flight and hotel in Christchurch was a whopping £1480. I guess its the summer holiday thing. BA a charging an over the top £1166 and Caribbean airlines £2104(who told them they were better than BA?) I keep an eye out.

I would book ASAP at the best price you can find.

You should check all the airlines individually, and also consider flying from Gatwick. Thomson also fly from Birmingham, try Monarch, Thomson, Virgin, BA, BMI, American, First Choice

It's a very busy time to fly.

They ARE BA. It's a codeshare.

Well if its the same airline then how do they justify charging double.
How much is your budget? Maybe give your friend a bit more hassle she might come through. £400 is a steal, you cant even get a week in a caravan for that.

Xl.com do cheaper charter flights from Gatwick to Barbados but only fly on a Tuesday. Flights 30 Sept to 14 Oct are £365 including all fees return per person. Travelzoo have some Barbados deals but most for late August/September.
