    Wow, you have missed something there! If that were true then the UK banking system would collapse. Egg will use monies on deposit to invest and aim to make more than the interest they pay you. The aim is that the bank makes money!

    ING is 'ING direct', the online bank with a 'great rate for everyone' (seen the ads with the rubber ring and lots of orange?) and some nice sign-up bonuses
