Can I change names on a Travelodge Booking?

Well, it is what it says on the label! I have booked a week at travelodge and now I cannot go due to redundancy/new job. Can I pass my booking onto a friend if the booking is (obviously) not in her name? And if so what barriers or problems might she face when claiming 'my' room? Thank you peeople :)
To those who are given much, much is expected

      £2025 in 2025 = £680.60
        Food Budget £180/9.30.
          Fiver Friday #13 £30

generally they have asked me what name the booking is in and the first line of the address of the person who has booked. Never been asked for id or anything else like that.

We've done it twice now with hotels, booked in with ref, name & add of other person and the wife paid with her card.

Its no different to an unmarried couple, the woman books the guy pays.... well, thats how it always happened to me :undecided

Yes you can, if you look at their terms and conditions (should be first port of call) it explains it.

I have sold a couple of days on ebay before now, booked in error.
