Just made some rice pudding in the slow cooker, yummy !!
Can I freeze the leftovers for another day ?
Also do you have to defrost it before reheating or can you microwave it from frozen. I'm sure I read something somewhere that you can't reheat rice or was I dreaming ??
Thanks

\never have any leftovers in our house! :drool:Do what you love :happyhear0 -
You have .... LEFTOVERS????
If you are concerned about freezing it (never tried, don't know the answer) have you considered serving it up for breakfast with some stewed/tinned/fresh/dried fruit added? You could have it cold instead of say, porridge - I've actually made rice pudding for that purpose when things have been tight
Also, I've been known to give/take it in a packed lunch (yes cold but it's still  )
Or, if neither of those options appeal ... serve it for tomorrow's dessert~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I thought I'd been very clever by making too much rice pud and freezing a portion for dh to take with his lunch a few days later. NOT a good plan
 It went grainy, mushy, and was completely inedible. It didnt taste the same as it had pre freezing, it was gross.
Rice pud is DH's FAVE food, and so far as I can remember, this is the only thing I have ever (in 9 years) served up that he has been genuinely unable to eat.
Sorry - but HTH.
PS - Just noticed I've got a new star!! :dance:I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are – Milton Berle0 -
