I know this has been done to death on here but bear with me as i do have an idea with regards to what i want to sell!
Ok the product i would like to sell is training supplements, protein, creatine etc etc.
I have emailed several of the big companies this morning asking about the costs involved, i have had a reply off one company already asking for my trade details, although they did give me a link for one distributor, so i suppose that is a start! I dont have trade details yet as im still guaging whether it is possible for me do. All im after is the costs at which they sell to trade.
So i have a few questions to ask.
Firstly how do you go about getting a trade licence or whatever it is actually called?!What do i need in order to become a trader?
I would like to start selling on ebay as a shop and then maybe branch out and start my own website, how difficult is it to start selling as a shop on ebay?Yes i know the items which i intend to sell are on ebay in the masses but i still believe that if you market it correctly at a good price you can still make money. If i can make money on ebay then i plan to create my own website and then go from there, im already a member of a gym so i could spread the word there to start with!
Im getting ahead of myself here but if i was to sell 20 items a day how would i go about sending them as i think it would be a pain to lump them all to the post office! If thats the way then so be it, would i use royal mail or would i use another courier as the items via royal mail would probably cost£3-£4.
After an email from one of the companies they have stated that i can purchase from a distributor at 33% less than RSP. Can someone tell me what RSP actually stands for so i can at least arm myself?i think a 33% discount leaves a fair margin for profit.
I apologise if i am coming across as naieve but this is all new to me!
I would appreciate any information that people are willing to give!
many thanks

I don't understand the question sorry? Do you mean becoming self employed or registering a company? Either way best calling a few accountants locally. Most give you a free consultation where they'll recommend the best set-up for you.0 -
