You done a runner again LP?
I saw your posts on another thread and just wanted to say good luckNow a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
hi there!
No I haven't done a runner! I'm still here, things have just been a little dis-jointed recently!!!
What with the big move and having to buy furniture, we've had a lot of expenditure.
Basically, as it stands, we're really tight at the moment.
Here is what I owe:
Creditcard: £730 (my brother owes me £500)
Barclays: £200 (needed to use this account again after clearing it and nearly closing it!)
Mum & Dad: £1,125.00
It looks pretty grim, but hopefully I should have it all done by *checks budget*...17th October.
I'll be pretty broke until then, but I'd rather be broke now and enjoy a nice Christmas!
Mr P has gone into OD and spent on CC. Furniture mainly. I had to cover rent for both of us, but furniture too and kitchen stuff plus our first 'shop' for food to fill up our massive freezer, so same, same really.
The thing is that I use my CC for 'us' but Mr P sometimes forgets that it's there.
When he spends on his credit card though, he wants it cleared as soon as he gets paid. That makes me really angry sometimes!!! Like it's okay for me to have a creditcard hanging over my head, but we have had to be careful the past couple of months so the HE can pay of HIS CC!!!
Don't you worry, we're doing budget tonight, so we'll sort out what's best for us moneywise later!
Anyway... so there it is.. we're a bit tight at the mo but very very happy in our new place!
Feeling a bit blue about the monry stuff though!
awwwww. Mr P just text me to say 'I love you'...sweet!
We also decided to look at starting a family in February next year, by which time I should be permanent at work and we'll have a few thousand in savings too.
I can't work out where' Mr P's money has gone though... hmmm. It's making me wonder.
At the weekend it was our anniversary. 3 years. We both just kind of 'forgot' as we have been so busy. 'nevermind' says Mr P... 'they'll be another date to celebrate soon'....
I didn't say anything as he may have been referring to babies or my 30th (next month)... but it has got me wondering.... that and I can't work out why he's so low on finances...
STOP IT LP!!!
awww... but it would be nice to be asked that little question!!!0 -
HEy LP!
Glad to see things are going well for you, moving is expensive so its not to be unexpected that you have had to fall back on cc and od. Aslong as you can cope with the levels then thats all that matters.
Your making alot of big decisions! If its what you want then I hope he does ask soon.
I've been with my gf for over 4 years and would ask her tomorrow if we were living together but wont do it until then as i know that is what both of us want.Debt Now~Total-£14,366.72~CC-£1,600.00~Sofa-£1,349.01~Loan-£11,417.71

we are making a lot of big decisions huh!
Time to step up to the challenge of adulthood we think! We're having great fun so far.
HAving your own place, without housemates, is incredible! We LOVE it!0 -
Mr P and I re-did our budget last night... and it's all looking very good!
All of our bills (including mobile phones) and rent are going out of the flat account.
All food, travel, going out, birthday etc will be going out of our joint account.
We have a small budget each for spends, clothes, haircuts from our personal accounts and anything left over goes into savings!
It means that because Mr P earns more than me he will be putting more into savings per month, but like he said... 'it's all or nothing babe!'
that means that EVERYTHING is completely equal!
Out of savings we will pay off my debts and his (he has student loan and CC).
We will be debt free with a coupla thousand in the bank by the end of the year!!!
HAPPY DAYS!

hmmmm... not money realted, I know, but this is my diary in a way, so...
My cousin got married at the weekend and as Mr P is planning a birthday party for my 30th, he was asking nearly everyone if they could make it.
I said to my mum, 'listen, I don't mind a bit of fun, but don't let Mr P embarrass me too much!'
Mum, who got quite tipsy, said, 'oh I wouldn't let him embarrass you... I know you don't like it. But I will just say that he's planning something amazing. You'll never forget your 30th!'
Now I'm thinking about you know what again...
Actually! one bit of money news, we now owe mum and dad only £875 as we paid them back a little of the cash we owe them.0 -
Well done on the payment!
Now try and keep your feet on the ground, just incase it isnt what you think it is! Im not trying to put a damper on it but you'll be very disappointed if its not what you think it is, although i hope it is! :rotfl:Debt Now~Total-£14,366.72~CC-£1,600.00~Sofa-£1,349.01~Loan-£11,417.71
